Where can I use Velune?
Velune Level 2 is made for body skin: back, shoulders, chest, butt and thighs. Body skin is thicker than facial skin, so it's formulated at a higher 15% strength.
Not for the face. 15% is too strong for thin facial skin. Avoid the bikini line, mucous membranes and any broken or irritated skin.
How does it work?
Mandelic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from bitter almonds. It loosens the bonds between dead skin cells, on the surface and inside the pore, so they shed instead of building up into bumps.
Its molecule is larger than glycolic acid's, so it absorbs slowly and evenly. That means strong exfoliation with less stinging, redness and dryness.
How do I use it?
- Patch test on your inner forearm and wait 24 hours.
- Cleanse, then let skin dry completely.
- Apply a thin, even layer to the entire problem area. Don't spot-treat.
- Start every other day, then build up to twice daily as your skin tolerates it.
- Wait 2β5 minutes, then follow with a non-comedogenic moisturizer. Wash your hands after applying.
- Wear SPF 30+ every morning on treated areas.
Some peeling in the first few weeks is normal and gradually lessens. If skin gets too dry, cut back slightly, then slowly build up again.
How fast will I see results?
Many people notice smoother-feeling skin within 2 weeks. Visible changes in bumps usually show between weeks 2 and 4. For dark marks and the best overall results, give it about 12 weeks of consistent use.

Made for body skin. Wherever bumps show up.
Back & shoulders
Reach-around coverage for the spots you can't see but definitely feel. One thin layer exfoliates the whole area so bumps don't get a chance to build up.
Chest
Smoother, clearer-looking skin for every neckline. Lightweight and fast-absorbing, so it won't feel sticky under clothes.
Butt
Say goodbye to that bumpy, sandpaper feel. Mandelic acid clears dead skin from inside the pore, where butt bumps start.
Thighs & legs
Visibly reduces strawberry skin and ingrown-hair bumps. Use it between shaves, not right after, on dry skin.
Smooth skin just got way easier
No scrubbing, no scratchy grains, no harsh sting. Velune's Level 2 serum does the exfoliating for you, so bumps clear and stay clear.

Questions? We've got you covered
What is mandelic acid?
Mandelic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) derived from bitter almonds. It has a larger molecule than other common acids, so it absorbs slowly into the skin and is less likely to cause irritation, redness and excessive dryness. That makes it a great fit for sensitive, dry or melanin-rich skin, and for consistent daily use.
Can I use Velune on my face?
No. Level 2 contains 15% mandelic acid, which is too strong for the thin, sensitive skin on your face. It's made for body use only.
My skin is peeling. Is that normal?
Yes. Light, painless flaking is exfoliation doing its job, and it usually eases after the first few weeks. If your skin feels tight, painful or red, cut back to every other day, moisturize more and slowly build back up.
Will it make me break out at first?
If your skin isn't used to exfoliating acids, you may see mild tingling, dryness or a few small bumps for 1β2 weeks as skin turns over. If you already use an acid, retinoid or benzoyl peroxide, this is unlikely.
Is it safe for sensitive or melanin-rich skin?
Mandelic acid is one of the gentlest AHAs and is unlikely to cause dark marks when used as directed. Build up slowly and don't over-exfoliate. If you notice darkening, pause for 3β5 days, moisturize generously and restart less often. If you have eczema or another skin condition, check with a dermatologist first.
Do I need sunscreen?
Yes. AHAs make skin more sensitive to the sun. Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ to treated areas every morning, and reapply when you're outdoors or sweating.
Can I use it with other actives?
Wait until your skin has adjusted before combining it with retinol, benzoyl peroxide or other AHAs/BHAs. Always follow with a non-comedogenic moisturizer.
I have a nut allergy. Can I use it?
Mandelic acid contains no nut proteins, but please check with your healthcare provider before use.
